Rebecca Rubin Senior Film and Media Reporter Prince Charming, the love interest of many a Disney princess, is getting his very own feature film. “Wonka” filmmaker Paul King, who also helmed the first two “Paddington” features, is directing “Prince Charming” for Disney.
King, Simon Barnaby and Jon Croker are co-writing the screenplay, of which plot details have not been confirmed. It’s unclear if the film will be live action or animated.
In classic fairy tales, the Prince Charming character is one who rescues a damsel in distress and sets out to save her from evil forces/ stepmothers.
