Prince Andrew Posts Now-Deleted Message on Ex-Wife Fergie's Instagram Using Banned 'HRH' Title

Sarah Ferguson posted a series of now-deleted messages on behalf of her ex-husband Prince Andrew over the weekend.

In his post, Prince Andrew looked back at his time serving in the Royal Navy during the Falkland War and signed the post using his banned “His Royal Highness” title. I put away childish things and false bravado and returned a man full in the knowledge of human frailty and suffering.” He concluded the post by adding “written by HRH The Duke of York.” In January, the Queen stripped Andrew of his military titles as well as his royal responsibilities in the wake of the scandal regarding his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

While he was permitted to keep his title as the Duke of York as well as his place in the line of succession, he was no longer allowed to use “His Royal Highness” in any capacity.
