Join thousands of others who have signed up to our Record Sport newsletter.Ross Young admits that the sense of pride he gets from coaching at Vale FC is one of the only things that can top his Provost’s Award nomination.He was nominated for the Sporting Champion award earlier this month for his work volunteering with the Alexandria based side - who aim to break down barriers between disability and amateur football.Founded by Bonhill man Alan Skelton and school pals Connor McFall and Cameron Bonner in 2012 whilst they were at the Vale of Leven Academy, the club has gone from strength to strength over the past eight years.As well as running a charity football team, Vale expanded.
