Shortly after his turn in Roadhouse on Prime Video, Jake Gyllenhaal returns to the small screen in the Apple TV+ series Presumed Innocent, based on the best-selling book by Scott Turow.
The lawyer-novelist’s popular legal thriller novel was previously adapted into a 1990 film. The show follows the criminal case against a Chicago prosecutor charged with the murder of a colleague.
The investigation also touches on the home life of the family of the accused. After premiering at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival, the series is now available to stream as it rolls out through the summer.
