Preparations underway for Man City parade as police tell fans to 'remain vigilant'

An open-top bus parade will take place later to celebrate Pep Guardiola's side completing their historic accomplishment on Saturday night, when they beat Inter Milan in Istanbul.
The Champions League triumph came after an incredible season that also saw the Blues win the Premier League and the FA Cup. Thousands of fans are expected to line the streets in the city centre between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

The parade will start on Deansgate before turning onto St Mary Gate, Cross Street, King Street, Brown Street, Booth Street, Nicholas Street, George Street before ending on Princess Street near St Peter’s Square.
A number of road closures will be in place. Greater Manchester Police said officer patrols will be stepped up as they urged fans to 'remain vigilant'.
