A mum-to-be has spoken of the moment she woke from a coma to learn her unborn son and boyfriend had died in a crash. Joshua Sanna and Bethany were driving along the A50 in Longton, Staffordshire, when their Toyota Aygo hire car was spotted with no lights on by an unmarked police car, an inquest has heard.
The officer illuminated his lights and switched on his sirens when the pair were on Etruria Vale Road, Etruria, StokeonTrentLive reports.
But Joshua - who was 19 at the time - panicked and sped off after having allegedly paid a friend to rent the car as he only held a provisional licence.
Following a pursuit through the streets of Stoke-on-Trent and onto the A500 and A50, the officer in the BMW attempted to stop the vehicle near Longton.
