Scarlett Moffatt has had to pull out of filming ITV2 show CelebAbility due to sickness, according to reports. The former Gogglebox star, 32, is believed to have been halfway through shooting the upcoming seventh series of the hit Iain Stirling-fronted panel show when she got struck down by a sick bug.

Rather than cause disruption to filming, the Country Durham-born personality decided to step down as team captain with Katherine Ryan, Pete Wicks, Snoochie Shy, Will Best, and Donna Preston drafted in to replace her.

Moffatt, who is currently expecting her first child with boyfriend Scott Dobinson, is said to have been “gutted” about having to pull out. “Fortunately, it wasn’t anything to do with her pregnancy – she just picked up a bug and is fine now, but because the series shoots on a really fast schedule over a couple of weeks, it meant she had to step down from the rest of the series,” an insider told The Sun. “She will still be seen on screen for the first few episodes of the run, then she will disappear. ” The source added: “Scarlett was really sad not to have been able to complete filming but if the show gets renewed for an eighth series, she will definitely be back. ”The Standard has contacted a representative for Scarlett Moffatt for comment.
