The broadcaster, who recently confirmed she is pregnant with her third child, took to Twitter with a screen grab of the email she had received from a viewer of the BBC One news show.
Nina, 42, has been at the helm of the early morning programme with Jon Kay this week as she has been standing in for Sally Nugent.
However, not everyone was happy with the newsreader's appearance on screen and one took things too far by going on to insult her appearance.
The nasty message, appearing to have been sent to Nina's email account, said: "Please do something with your hair. You look a mess!
