Gilmourton Primary has been praised in an Education Scotland report following a visit by a team of HMIe inspectors.The report stated that the Strathaven school was led effectively by the head teacher, which ensures the pupils engage well with their learning.Inspectors also noted that all staff ensure a positive and caring relationship is maintained, ensuring pupil wellbeing and good levels of engagement in their learning.The report also highlighted that the children are making good progress in literacy and numeracy and there is a wide range of opportunities for achievement.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
