Beachgoers have described "post-apocalyptic" scenes today as Welsh beaches are shrouded in thick fog. One beachgoer described how she was unable to see the sea from the sand, but said it didn't stop people from making the most of the warm weather.
Pictures taken on Saturday show Barry Island as busy as a summer's day as temperatures reach 25C in the area, but covered in fog.
The woman described her "shock" at the lack of view when she arrived for a walk to Wales Online. She said: "I came down for a walk along the beach and was shocked that I couldn’t actually see the sea.
Visibility is really poor and it looks pretty post-apocalyptic. There are still loads of people on the beach though making the most of the warm weather - mental that people are actually swimming in the sea."
