A popular Lanarkshire gala day will return in June after two years off the calendar. 'Summerfest' is always a hit in Cambuslang, but the coronavirus pandemic forced it to be cancelled for two years running.
Now organisers have confirmed it will be back on June 18, taking over Cambuslang Main Street and bringing the community together again.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

John Edgar, the chairman of the group, told Lanarkshire Live : "It's been a tough couple of years - I don't know anyone that's not been affected by covid in some way. "For Summerfest we've lost funding as well, but we wanted to keep going, so that it could be back up and running for the community.
