Popular bookshop set to close in Rutherglen shopping centre

A popular bookstore chain is to close a Lanarkshire branch at the end of this month. The Works in Rutherglen Exchange shopping centre will shut on August 27, with bosses saying the store is no longer "commercially viable".

The closure is another blow for local shoppers, who have seen a number of closures across Rutherglen and Cambuslang in recent years.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
