Popular bar forced into major change as 'inconsiderate' diners 'damage business'

A neighbourhood bar in Stockport has been forced to make a major policy change after a number of diners failed to show up in one day, leading to a ‘detrimental and damaging’ impact on business.

Staff at Inventery, which is located on Station Road in Cheadle Hulme, said that three bookings failed to show up to the venue on Saturday night (July 6).

Made up of a total of 29 people, the venue said it had received no communication from any of the diners that they would not be turning up.

The bar and kitchen, which serves a range of small plates alongside its lunch and brunch menus, has been going for three years now and recently underwent a refurbishment two months ago which saw the creation of a new menu, alongside a new Garden Room area and a hidden garden space.
