The son of a huge 80s star was left speechless after welcoming a young boy on stage at a music festival. Rick Parfitt Junior, the son of late Status Quo star Rick, performed with the RPJ band at Painshill festival in Cobham, Surrey on Wednesday, 10 July.
Rick, 49, who fronts the band, spotting a youngster in crowd holding up a sign, which read “Let Me Play Guitar With You.” He stopped his gig mid-way through to address the fan's request, initially appearing hesitant. “That’s a bit of a risk," Rick, who is a former racing driver, told the audience.
He then asked the fan if he could really play guitar, with the youngster confirming his request was serious. Jake Collisson, 10, then took to the stage, ready to perform in front of the 5,000-strong audience.
Rick then asked Jack about who his favourite band, with the young guitarist confirming he's a big fan of Guns 'N' Roses.
