Singer Martin Lee, who was a member of the group Brotherhood Of Man – who won the Eurovision Song Contest for the UK in 1976, has died at the age of 77.

Brotherhood Of Man secured the top spot for the UK in the 1976 Eurovision Song Contest with their catchy tune Save Your Kisses For Me, which dominated the competition with 164 points, leaving second-placed Switzerland far behind.The song's success didn't stop there, as it also reached number one on the UK singles chart in 1976 and achieved the same feat in over 30 countries worldwide.

A statement released by the band expressed their 'great sadness'. "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our great friend and colleague Brotherhood Of Man's Martin Lee, who slipped peacefully away on the evening of Sunday, September 29, 2024, from heart failure after a short illness.
