Police urge people to bin their litter as parks become busier

Apple - Android Police say groups of youths have also been gathering to consume alcohol, leaving parks and lanes strewn with broken bottles and rubbish.The mess led to officers making a public plea on the Lanarkshire Police Division Facebook page where they posted: "As you know, consuming alcohol in a public place is an offence but the aftermath of rubbish, litter and broken bottles is a huge annoyance to the local communities.

Often, dogs cut their paws on the glass or swallow rubbish meaning expensive trips to the vet and lots of worry for their owners and families."This is NOT a nice sight."Lanarkshire Police and the local community urge you to take your rubbish home, or put it in a bin."Parents, ask your young people where they're going.
