A man arrested for being out during lockdown left home again ten minutes after police took him home. A 54-year-old man has been arrested for contravening the requirement as to the restriction of movement during an emergency period.

He is currently in police custody and is due to be quizzed by police about his actions later today. Greater Manchester Police said the man was initially found in Stalybridge.

Officers gave him “advice” and even took him home. But just minutes later the same man returned again.
