Police swooped on a street in Glasgow after a "potentially hazardous substance" was allegedly found within a property. Cops, firefighters, and several ambulance crews raced to Newington Street in the east end at around 12.40am on Sunday, November 10.The mercy crews were responding to reports of a man taking unwell, believed to be due to the substance.
He was rushed to hospital, as were two other people that also took unwell.A concerned local told Glasgow Live that they saw "at least six ambulances, two police and a fire engine".
A man and a woman, both 44, were assessed by ambulance crews. They were then charged by cops in connection with the incident.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.40am on Sunday, November 10, officers were called to a property on Newington Street, Glasgow, following a report of a man having taken unwell, believed to be as a result of a potentially hazardous substance.“A 44-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman were checked over by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
