Police storm Manchester Airport after gun found in luggage as man arrested

Police stormed Manchester Airport on Sunday morning (September 3) after a gun was found in luggage. Officers were called out to Terminal 2 at around 10.45am to reports of a possible firearm being uncovered by staff.

After inspecting the luggage, police attended the scene where a firearm was seized. A man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm and remains in custody to be questioned.
