Police have swooped on a dilapidated building in Greenock and seized a haul of cannabis valued at over £160,000 in one of several high-value drug raids made this week.

Officers were tipped off to the plantation in a disused building in Nicolson Street in the Inverclyde town at around 6pm on New Year's Day.

They entered and searched the building, capturing the six-figure haul of drugs, before establishing a cordon around the scene.

Images shared with the Record show a large van parked outside the premises as officers removed the high-value find from within.
