Police search for man after woman left with 'significant and extensive injuries'

Police are searching for a 27-year-old man after a woman was left with 'significant and extensive injuries' from an 'abhorrent' assault.

Merseyside Police confirmed detectives are trying to trace Lewis Dunn as he may have information in relation to a serious domestic assault.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 22, which resulted in a 21-year-old woman receiving significant injuries, the Liverpool Echo reports. "This abhorrent behaviour and abuse is totally unacceptable and I would urge Lewis Dunn, who could have information which would assist our inquiry, or anyone who knows where he is to come forward." He added: "No-one should have to tolerate being treated this way regardless of their gender or sexual orientation.
