A new image of missing Scots man Andrew Linton has been released as specialist search teams try to locate him. Concern is growing for the 43-year-old who was last seen in the Corsehill area of Kilwinning around 5.35am on Wednesday, February 22.

He is believed to have left the address on foot. Andrew is described as being white, around 5 ft 6 in height and of stocky build.

He speaks with a local Ayrshire accent and was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, a light-coloured beanie hat, black trousers and black boots. It is thought he may also have been wearing a grey hooded jumper and carrying a large red rucksack with black lace criss crossed on the front.Concern is growing for his welfare as specialist search teams continue their search, with local and taxi companies also being asked to keep an eye out for him.Inspector Alex Beagrie, Irvine Police Station, said: “Andrew has been missing now for two days, and for him to leave his home and family without letting them know where he is or getting in touch is not like him at all and is concerning.“Officers have been checking CCTV from the local area and in the town centre but so far there have been no further sightings of him.“Local bus and taxi companies have been alerted, as have our colleagues at British Transport Police.

We also have officers, including specialist search teams, searching for him.“If you have seen Andrew, or have any information about where he is, then please get in touch with police as soon as you can.”Anyone with information is being urged to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting reference number 0514 of Wednesday, 22 February 2023.
