He is currently the co-presenter of This Morning (2002–present) and Dancing on Ice (2006–2014, 2018–present) alongside Holly Willoughby. His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

Phillip Schofield declares 'man down' as Holly Willoughby forced to rush off ITV This Morning

Phillip Schofield ushered Josie Gibson for help as he declared 'man down' while hosting the latest edition of This Morning. The presenter was back at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Thursday (February 23) alongside Holly Willoughby for what is their last show of the week.

However, things momentarily took a turn when Holly, 42, was forced to rush off the set and leave Phillip, 60, solo. After reeling off what was still to come on the show, Phillip said: "Before all of that, let's head back to Birmingham," where Josie Gibson was checking out the Caravan & Camping Show at the NEC Birmingham.

Before he could finish, Holly turned away to cough, saying: "Excuse me, I knew that was coming." Phillip then asked: "Are you alright there?

Bless you." But needing to cough again, Holly held up a finger and rushed off camera.
