Police have released images of two men they wish to speak to who might be able to assist with enquiries into a serious assault in Bellshill.The incident happened at around 11.50pm on March 9, outside a premises on Calder Street, near to Rosevale Crescent.A 49-year-old man sustained a serious injury after he was assaulted by four men.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers urge the men in the images, or anyone who may know them, to get in touch.The first man is described as being white, bald, and of medium build.He was wearing a dark blue top, light coloured jeans and white trainers.The second man is described as being white, in his early 20s and has short dark hair.He had on a white t-shirt, dark jeans and white trainers with dark soles, and he has a tattoo on his left upper arm.Detective Constable Adele Johnston, of Wishaw CID, told Lanarkshire Live: “This was a violent attack on a member of the public."This man sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.“This is a busy residential area and I would urge anyone who either saw these men, or who recognises their description, to come forward and contact
