Police have released CCTV images of two people they want to speak to after a precious urn was stolen at a tram stop. The item was taken from Bowker Vale Metrolink station in north Manchester on Tuesday (June 18).

It came after the victim accidently left a carrier bag containing a cremation urn on the outbound platform, officers said. The item has not been returned or handed into police as lost property, Greater Manchester Police said.

Officers have now issued CCTV images showing two males they want to speak to in connection with the theft. "Greater Manchester Police are appealing to anyone who may have information about this incident or the location of the Urn to come forward.

We would also like to speak to two males (pictures attached), who may be able to assist us with our enquiries. "We encourage anyone with information or knowledge to contact GMP on 101, quoting log 3447 of 18/06/2024 or via Crime stoppers on 0800 555 111."
