Police release CCTV footage of missing man's last known sighting in major new appeal

A search operation for a missing man last seen before Christmas remains 'active and fulsome', police said today as a major new appeal for information was issued.

Anthony Williamson, 62, who is also known as Tony, has been missing since Tuesday, December 19 2023. The last known sighting of him is CCTV footage showing him walking down Greenway towards Park Road in Timperley, Trafford, at around 11.12am on the day. Areas where Tony is known to frequent have also been checked. In a statement, a police spokesperson said: "Tony is 6ft 1ins tall and was carrying a backpack at the time he went missing. "Detectives and specialist resources have been deployed since the report however following detailed local searches and enquires, Tony remains missing.
