Police have conducted raids on some homes following a stabbing in Liverpool city centre. Two men were stabbed in the city centre on Wednesday morning (December 27) with detectives carrying out a number of warrants in Anfield and Wavertree.
Police said the raids have led to "evidential items" being seized. A 21-year-old man who suffered stab wounds to the chest remains in hospital in critical but stable condition.
Meanwhile, a second male, aged 21, is also in stable condition in hospital after suffering stab wounds to the back. Investigations into the incident remain ongoing, with witnesses being spoken to and CCTV being processed. Detective Chief Inspector Tony Roberts said: “We are making considerable progress in the investigation, and I would like to thank everyone who has assisted us so far.
