A mum of three has been jailed after she hit a taxi following a police chase. Charlotte Shipley, 29, had her baby in the front seat of the car during the pursuit.
CCTV footage showed the mum driving through red lights and onto a pavement, over speed bumps and on the wrong side of the road while other vehicles had no choice but to take evasive action.
But Shipley - who was driving under the influence of cannabis - only stopped when she crashed into a taxi after ignoring a No Entry sign.
Now Shipley has been jailed for 10 months. Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard Shipley was driving a Volkswagen when police spotted her on Etruria Road, Hanley, Staffordshire, with a young child in the front passenger seat.
