Police are appealing for information over a fatal crash on the A9 on Friday that claimed the life of a 69-year-old woman. The crash, near Dunkeld in Perthshire, happened at around 12.05pm.
It involved a dark grey Hyundai i10, a white Volkswagen Golf and a white Ford Transit van. The 69-year-old female driver of the Hyundai was pronounced dead at the scene while her 76-year-old female passenger sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.
She was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee by air ambulance. Both the driver of the Golf, a 71-year-old man, and his 53-year-old female passenger were taken to Ninewells by ambulance.
The driver of the van was not injured. Following the smash, police have issued an appeal for eyewitnesses, dashcam footage and any further information that could help them with their inquiries.
