The devastated family of a Scots lorry driver who tragically died in a crash on the A9 have paid a heartfelt tribute to him.
Alan Jones, from Inverness, was one of two HGV drivers involved in the fatal collision near Carrbridge in the Highlands during the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services raced to the incident at 4.15am but despite their efforts, the 64-year-old was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The other lorry driver - a 56-year-old man - was blue-lighted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, where he was later released after receiving treatment.
