A man who was known to a missing woman has been arrested on suspicion of murdering her after police confirmed development in the missing persons case.
Officers believe harm has come to Diane Douglas, who was initially reported missing by family members on October 21 after not being able to get in touch with her.
58-year-old Douglas was estranged from her family, who told police they had “lost contact with her for several years”. It was at this point that they notified cops they had renewed attempts to get in touch with her but failed.
Diane Douglas’ body has not yet been found but it didn’t prevent them from arresting a man on Saturday night who was detained and was known to Douglas.
