Police launch investigation after man dies following accident at Stilton cheese factory

Police have launched an investigation after a man died after reportedly being injured at a Leicestershire cheese factory. Officers were called to the Long Clawson Dairy, near Melton, by paramedics just after 7pm on Sunday, March 3.

It followed reports that a man had been injured. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident, police said.

A HSE spokesperson said: "We are fully supporting Leicestershire Police 's investigation into this incident." The dairy declined to comment when approached.
