Police have launched an investigation after a man died after reportedly being injured at a Leicestershire cheese factory. Officers were called to the Long Clawson Dairy, near Melton, by paramedics just after 7pm on Sunday, March 3.
It followed reports that a man had been injured. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident, police said.
It added that it was liaising with the Health and Safety Executive. A HSE spokesperson said: "We are fully supporting Leicestershire Police 's investigation into this incident." The dairy declined to comment when approached.
