A man who was arrested after a 67-year-old woman was dragged to the floor in a terrifying mugging has been bailed pending further investigation, police have confirmed.
The victim was on Clayton Hall Road in Clayton at around 12.55pm last Friday (February 9) when a 'male suspect' approached her from behind.
Police said he dragged her to the floor in the street before snatching her handbag. He then made off from the scene towards Stanton Street.
