No arrests have been made so far in connection with a vicious attack on an estate in Ardwick, police have confirmed. The attack happened on Haymarket Street at around 4pm on Friday (July 9).
Police said a male was attacked, leaving him with serious injuries. Eyewitnesses on the estate told the Manchester Evening Newshow the attack reportedly involved a 'gang of boys with machetes'.

He instinctively ran to save him and 'dragged him away', he said. After the attack, a large cordon was put in place as forensic officers and Tactical Aid Unit officers scoured the area.
