Three dogs have been shot while 'sheep worrying' in Cheshire in the last month, police have revealed. At the same time 25 sheep have been killed in four incidents in the county, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Officers are now urging owners to keep their dogs on the leads when walking in the countryside. Police described the incidents that unfolded as being 'shocking scenes'.
