Police issue appeal to trace Scots woman last seen leaving hospital

Police have issued CCTV showing a woman last seen leaving a hospital in Edinburgh on Saturday morning.Norma McGuiness, 56, was captured leaving an entrance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at around 9am on June 3.

She was last seen walking towards Old Dalkeith Road shortly afterwards, but has not been seen since.Officers tasked with investigating her disappearance say there are "growing concerns" for her welfare and have asked anyone who has seen her, or may have information pertaining to her whereabouts, to get in touch.Norma is described as white, around 5ft 5ins tall, and of slim build.

She has strawberry blonde hair.Police have issued a description of the clothing she was wearing, which can be seen in the CCTV footage released on Saturday afternoon.

She was wearing a beige sun hat, a beige cardigan, a floral summer dress and high heels.A Police Scotland statement read: "Anyone who may have seen Norma since this time, or who has any information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 1216 of 3 June, 2023."
