Police hunting a gunman in Lancashire have tracked down the car used by the suspect more than 60 miles away in Tameside. Detectives are investigating a shooting in Heysham, near Morecambe, on Monday.
Lancashire Police says the offender arrived in Heysham with another person in a red Skoda Fabia. Officers have since tracked down the car in Droylsden, and crime scene investigators have been working in the area to gather evidence.
The force was called at around 4pm on Monday with reports that someone had approached an address on Heysham Road before shooting at the front door and fleeing the scene.
