Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Police hunt driver after hit-and-run left woman (63) seriously injured in city street

Police are trying to trace a hit-and-run driver who knocked down a woman in a city centre street – leaving her with a serious leg injury.The 63-year-old was knocked down by a car in King Street on Saturday afternoon as she crossed the road near to the former McAree Brothers store – a one-way road – at around 2.20pm on Saturday.The woman was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with a serious leg injury.Police are now looking to trace the driver of a grey coloured VW Golf that careered into her.Sergeant Lee Walkingshaw said: “The Golf failed to stop and we believe it drove off in the direction of Corn Exchange Road.“Our enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to trace the driver.“In particular, I’m asking for road users in the area at the time of the incident to check their dash-cams to see if they have footage that could help with our investigation to get in touch.“In addition, if you saw what happened or where the car went afterwards and have not already spoken to officers then please contact us.”The Observer understands that police continued to make enquiries at nearby businesses in the area on Monday.Anyone who has information is being urged to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1766 of Saturday, January 14.Click here for more news and sport from the Stirling area.Residents expressed their shock on social media at the incident, which comes weeks after a 53-year-old Dunipace woman was killed in a suspected hit-and-run.April Mitchell’s body was discovered at around 12.30am on Thursday, December 15, on the A872, at Avonside Drive in Dunipace, with the driver yet to be identified.Of the King Street incident, one post read: “Hope that the lady is back on her feet soon.“The good thing is if it had been
