Four people have been charged after police found a cannabis farm with a street value of more than a million pounds. Police were made aware of suspicious activity at a home on Tuesday afternoon.
When officers arrived the seemingly empty property, they noticed the windows were open and a strong smell of cannabis was coming from the home.
Once inside the Newcastle home, they uncovered a cannabis farm made up of around 3,265 plants, worth around £1,370,000, spread out over three floors.
Five people were arrested at the scene and four have since been charged, according to Chronicle Live. One man, aged 22, has since been released under investigation.
