Police discover cannabis farm worth over £200k in raid

Police have discovered a cannabis farm worth around £200,000 following a raid at a property in south Manchester this morning.

Officers from GMP's Neighbourhood Team stormed two addresses in Chorlton - one of which was being used to cultivate cannabis.

The raid on Keppel Road in the suburb led police to the farm, which was being used to grow the class B drug. Pictures from the raid show a number of plants being stored in the property. In an update on Twitter, the force said: "Warrant on Keppel Road, Chorlton. Cannabis farm was located which contained cannabis plants with a street value of approximately £200k. "Warrant on Bullfinch Walk, Chorlton, quantity of cash, Cannabis and suspected Class A substances were recovered.
