Police closed the M60 on Monday evening (October 2) after a person fell from a bridge, the Manchester Evening News understands.
Emergency services, including paramedics and motorway cops, attended the scene of the incident beside J23 for Ashton-under-Lyne shortly before 5pm.
There were delays of over an hour initially with miles of congestion, as all lanes were closed by police. Traffic was being held within the closure as emergency services dealt with the incident.
An air ambulance also appeared to have attended the scene.
