Hundreds of cannabis plants were found at a drugs farm after rushing to reports that the building was being burgled. Police discovered a cannabis farm of around 250 plants and arrested a man following a car chase in Blackley.
Officers had been receiving reports of multiple burglaries occurring in recent weeks and started a week-long operation to crackdown on the criminals.

During the week Blackley's police teams worked alternating shifts, said the force, covering days and nights and carrying out a number of anti-burglary measures including liaising with specialist officers, building intelligence, monitoring known offenders, and putting in future plans to tackle criminal behaviour.
