Police say '20 youths' have been reported swimming in a reservoir less than 24 hours after a teenager drowned in Salford Quays.
Officers were called to Rumworth Lodge in Bolton on Sunday afternoon and say some youngsters were seen jumping off a pier into the water.
Sgt Dan Richards warned of the risks of swimming in open water during the heatwave. Writing on Facebook he said: "PCSOs are on their way to reports of 20 youths swimming in the reservoir at Rumworth Lodge off Beaumont Rd, some of which are jumping off the pier. We can't stress enough how dangerous this is, please help us to get the message out there." The body of a 16-year-old boy was recovered from Salford Quays overnight on Saturday.
