Police have authorised a dispersal order in Wigan town centre this weekend after reports of high level of 'youth-related criminality'.
Officers will be patrolling the area on foot and in police cars to 'target, identify, and take appropriate action' against the individuals responsible for this behaviour'.
The order, which runs from 12pm today (Saturday, January 27) to 11pm tomorrow (Sunday, January 28) gives the force powers to order people to leave an area.
This comes after reports of a number of offences affecting victims such as young people, taxi drivers, takeaway staff at the bus station in the town centre.
