Police have confirmed the arrest of 11 men after violence erupted in a fight between hooligans before Oldham Athletic's clash with Wrexham yesterday (October 1).

Greater Manchester Police have described the scenes captured on video shared on social media yesterday as 'unacceptable' with an investigation underway to find and arrest more people that were involved.

The shocking footage captured outside Boundary Park showed a large group of thugs fighting each other with riot officers having to be called.

Angela Rayner, MP for the area, was quick to express her disgust at the scenes that took place in a residential street in Failsworth before kick-off.
