Police have issued an appeal for information after a gang of youths terrorised a village in Salford on Halloween. Officers said the 'despicable' group was made up of around 10 youths, aged between 14 and 17.

They reportedly went on a rampage in Cadishead last night (October 31) with police receiving reports that they had been stealing from young children, breaking into gardens and setting off fireworks in the street.

Police said the group also 'partook in numerous racially aggravated and hate-based offences'. The youths damaged several properties and tried car doors.
