A plumber has been found guilty of murdering a Deliveroo driver during a road rage attack. Nathan Smith, 28, stabbed the part-time delivery driver Takieddine Boudhane, 30, with a knife on the evening of January 30, 2020 following a minor road incident.
Smith was driving a white VW Caddy van while Mr Boudhane was onboard a moped. Mr Boudhane made a right turn in Finsbury Park, north London, before a confrontation kicked off.
Mr Boudhane had become upset at the manoeuvre and words were exchanged, the jury heard. The situation escalated when Smith swung out of his van on Charteris Road while brandishing a knife.
Smith then went "on the attack" with Mr Boudhane using his crash helmet to try and ward him off. Read more: Man who punched and strangled his partner after calling her a 'fat s**g' is jailed Prosecutor Julian Evans said Smith was "simply not prepared to let things rest there".
