Jem Aswad Executive Editor, Music Playboi Carti, whose new album “Music” broke Spotify streaming records over the weekend, brought out the Weeknd, Skepta and even streamer Kai Cenat during his headlining performance to close out the Rolling Loud California 2025 festival.
Carti and the Weeknd performed the song “Rather Lie,” from the new album, and their earlier collaboration “Timeless,” which they’d also performed (before its release) at the Weeknd’s blockbuster concert in Rio de Janiero last fall.
British rapper Skepta joined for their new song “Toxic.”A post shared by Rolling Loud (@rollingloud) Earlier in the day, Luh Tyler took the stage with Jamie Foxx watching from the photo pit, and Jesse Jo, Frankie and Kristian Stark were spotted at Ken Carson’s set, where he performed the unreleased track “Ain’t Playin.” Soulja Boy popped out at the Zig-Zag Stage where he performed throwback hits “Kiss Me Through The Phone” and “Pretty Boy Swag” before closing with fan favorite “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” before Los Angeles’ own Blxst shut down the stage later in the night.
A$AP Rocky headlined Saturday’s set, debutingunreleased tracks from his long-awaited album “Don’t Be Dumb,” while Rihanna watched from the crowd with Blue Ivy and others.
