A major redevelopment which could bring the Ryder Cup to Bolton is being put back before the public. Proposals for a championship golf course, luxury hotel and housing estate on the Hulton Park site in the borough have proved controversial.
Bolton council approved the plans in 2018 but the decision was called in by then Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, Robert Jenrick.
