February has already been an exciting month for planet-spotting, with a six-strong parade of planets gracing our skies and a gas giant forming a celestial duo with the Moon.
After all, this month had a tough act to follow, with January kicking off 2025 with some spectacular astronomical events, including Mars shining big and bright and a "once-in-a-lifetime" comet.
As the planetary parade continues, the Moon has made its way across the sky to greet its members. On February 1, the crescent moon shone between Venus and Saturn.
